Updated Prototype


I have updated the game to include several new features.  I may (or may not) be done with this game for now.  It will remain a prototype until I come up with some new idea or inspiration to really finish it.  But for now it does the following:

  1. It generates a new game with unique game mechanics each time you play.
  2. It will save your progress between play-throughs, but if you die, it will delete all saved files and start a new game from scratch the next time you play
  3. There is only one actual quest, to find the chalice
  4. The quest is ranted by the single NPC in one of the cities
  5. The Chalice will spawn in the "cave" which will show on the main map

Obviously this is still very rough around the edges, and not a complete experience yet.  Each game has different game mechanics and will pick randomly from the following:

  1. Health (if there is no health, you will die on getting hit once)
  2. Damage (if there is no damage, you will kill enemies with one hit)
  3. Range (allows you to shoot enemies at a range)
  4. Ammo (depletes ammo until zero, at which point you can no longer shoot)
  5. Level (allows you to upgrade health, damage, ammo and range)

First find the Quest Giver NPC.  He will assign you the quest.  Then go in search of the cave.  Go to the cave, grab the chalice and return to the quest giver to win.
